Research produces new knowledge, and new knowledge is the fuel that propels innovation. We systematically study everything we do, from how we stimulate and support innovation to the impact of the innovations themselves, whether they are early-stage prototypes or late-stage pilots on the cusp of being scaled.

We study successes: how they work, for what students, and under what conditions. Just as importantly, we study failures: we catch them early, diagnose them, and use our diagnoses to make future innovations better. Then we translate our learning into stories and research reports to help turn knowledge into action.
